Dutch DPA: Number of data breaches increased by 14% compared to 2018

The semi-annual report of the Durch DPA shows that for the year as a whole, approximately 24,000 data breach reports are expected to be received, or an increase of 14 percent compared to 2018. Most reports came from k 31 percent. The financial sector (20 percent) and public administration (19 percent) followed in terms of leaks. comparable to the origin of reports last year. Most leaks are the result of incorrectly sent personal data, for example by post or e-mail.
