Research shows that tens of thousands of virtual office workplaces can be abused remotely by hackers directly via the internet. This often still happens most often via a Remote Desktop or Remote Desktop connection from Windows. Many organizations are unaware of this, so it is a matter of patience before an unwanted person or ransomware enters the network.
