Political discussion of medical data storage outside the EU is flaring up

Minister Bruno Bruins (Healthcare) wants the Dutch Data Protection Authority to investigate whether the medical data of hundreds of thousands of Dutch patients is kept safe. The AD revealed on Saturday that hospitals have recently started to have patient data stored in the Google cloud. Price experts and MPs are critical of the choice for the American tech giant.
