The first month of the GDPR
The first month of the GDPR and GDPR is now over, and according to the IAPP, the EU has certainly been busy with regard to complaints to the authorities, they report in an article . Because not all parties described in the article responded equally, we assume a period of 2 weeks.
In the 2 weeks since the AVG / GDPR came into effect, an average of 149 complaints were received per day by the countries that shared their numbers. In total, that is 2048 complaints. The country with the most daily complaints was Great Britain with an average of 43 complaints per day.
So it seems they are quite busy with the GDPR in Great Britain. What do you think? Are they not getting fined fast enough?
