Six months after Citrix leak investigation and still 25 organizations got hacked

The Citrix leak, which occurred in late December 2019 and led to a major crisis in organizations, is still being actively exploited. While attention for the vulnerability has faded, criminal hackers and espionage groups appear to have access to the internal network at at least 25 Dutch organizations and 2000 international organizations, according to Fox-IT. The Dutch Safety Board is starting an investigation into the security vulnerability in Citrix that occurred six months ago. Questions that are asked in this regard, with the aim of safeguarding security in the Netherlands, are: Which parties, public and private, have what responsibility and authority to safeguard digital security and how have they been used to limit the consequences of this leak ?
